Our Business
Cultivos del Norte has grown, bought and processed tabasco pepper in the northern part of Honduras for over 25 years, working with an average of 300 growers per season. We distribute contracts and seeds to a wide array of farmers for two overlapping seasons a year, on a first come first serve basis. Each season lasts from five to seven months.
We strive for the very best quality in pepper mash, which includes its color, cleanliness and freshness, therefore we must insist on the best quality of tabasco pepper from our growers. In return we offer superior treatment by honoring our pledge to make timely payments, provide flexible hours at our three mills located along the northern coast, and employ a professional staff that is available anytime.
We are one of the few agro-business companies in Honduras that can guarantee an unwavering market and a fair price per pound. The moment a grower signs a contract with Cultivos del Norte, we guarantee in that contract that as long as the product meets our quality standards we will buy all the pepper that is harvested from their field at the price stipulated in the contract. The price will not fluctuate even if the market is saturated.
